I just finished writing to one of my Church friends about the beautiful sunny
day we are having when I heard thunder in the distance. Sure enough looking
out the door there was a downpour. This must be the Rainy Season.Â
Â
Speaking of Seasons, several of my friends told me I would enjoy the change
of Seasons while living in North Carolina. One in particular, Barb, has a
summer home close by here and she assured me I would enjoy the Winter,
Spring, Summer and Autumn.Â
Â
I think the State of North Carolina has a different set up as far as weather or
Seasons go.
Â
Winter is known as the Static Season. I have no idea what they call Spring because it snowed on Easter Sunday. The calendar says it is summer but the natives call it the Rainy Season.  Sometime after summer the men all blend in with the foliage so that must be Hunting Season.Â
Â
I remember asking Bill “where have all the Deer goneâ€Â - we had not seen any for days. His reply “the Deer do not come out during Hunting Seasonâ€. Of course I had to ask “how do the Deer know it is Hunting Season?â€Â And he said “they hear the gun fire.â€Â Now how does he know that to be true?
Â
We arrived here in Pisgah Forest on October 5, 2006 which was the peak of Leaves Changing Season. It was a magnificent sight to see.Â
Â
There is always something new to see going down the mountain.  Just sitting on the back patio you see every kind of bird and if lucky a deer might come looking for food or a drink out of the stream running through the property.  Oh yes, the White Squirrel sometimes comes by.
Â
So even though I have not gotten the Seasons figured out I am happy living here. I feel blessed to be here. I have a nice home, beautiful view, and family right upstairs.Â
Â
Love and prayers from here to there
