A Memorable Day . . . Oink Oink! June 28. 2007

The reason this day will be memorable is because I spent it with my two daughters. 
 
Our day started at 11 AM.  Joann and I picked Becky up at the motel where she's staying.  She and Joann made the rounds of the many neat shops in our little downtown while I sat in the car and watched the people going into the Post office on one side of the street and a bank on the other side. 
 
Joann made one trip back to the car with a load of things she had bought and Becky came later with her purchases.
 
We then headed for our favorite eating place "The Fish Camp".    We got Onion Rings and I ate 3 before my Cat Ffish Dinner came.
 
After we finished eating, we headed for my place where my two girls ended on the floor looking at the beaded necklaces Joann has made.  I think she is working with Becky on a design for a necklace for Becky to take home.
 
But the excitement of the day happened on the way up the mountain. 
 
I'm sure you know by now that we pass several farms on the way up the hill to the house.  Of the several along the way, we find the cattle ranch and the pig farm to be the most interesting. 
 
The pig farm took center stage today because with a little coaxing and some hog calling, the Mama Pig came out to see what was going on and following her was a brood of 1,then 2, then a 3rd, then a 4th, a 5th and finally 6 little piggies, none of which have yet been to the market but all of which went weeee weeee  weeee, all the way home. 
 
I freely admit that the girls and I too were squealing at the sight.  Becky took many pictures, all of which turned out great.  When we watch them in a slide show on the computer, more squeals of delight. 
 
Tonight, I am going to spend the evening being Mom with her two lovely daughters.  If Bill wants to, he is welcome to join in the fun.
 
Becky leaves tomorrow morning early and I think she is due back sometime in November.  I am thankful for the time we had together today and will be looking forward to her next visit.
 
In the meantime Joann, Bill and I will carry on. 
 
I am so very thankful for this day.
