Enjoying Peaceful Place 7/5/07 July 6. 2007
Â
Since we had left overs from Fourth of July picnic we had time to sit out and enjoy the beautiful weather before eating dinner.Â
Â
The birds must eat at the same time we do because the bird feeders were busy as Carrabas at 5 PM. There are two bird feeders and one Humming Bird Feeder in the back yard.Â
Â
Today there were two sparrows stopping in at the same feeder like there was not another one close by. They would take feed from one side and then the other dropping some of their meal on the way to their place to eat.Â
Â
Oh and you should have seen the two grey squirrels waiting in the wings for the food dropped by the birds. Bill could not understand how the squirrels could be hungry because he put out food for them on the bridge.Â
Â
We have not seen a Humming Bird for weeks. Their bird feeder is kept clean and full for whenever they find their way over here.
Â
The end of a perfect day.
Â
Love and prayers from here to there.

Happy Fourth of July 07-04-07
Before I get into the holiday mood I have just one
more little something to say about the weather.
Remember I told you about the rain we have every
day (it has not rained yet today) and I call this
the Rainy Season. Well much to my surprise in the
local paper, in bold letters they reported we are
in a drought. I don’t know where all the rain
went.

Â
There is a Festival down town and Joann and Bill
will go for that but I opted to go on a little
sight seeing trip. Bill in his Volunteer job with
the Sheriff’s Dept. finds all these interesting
places to visit. So the three of us took off and
it was an enjoyable trip. The view at every turn
was breathtaking. We saw some beautiful horses
grazing on a Ranch. Joann got pictures of them.Â
We passed a Cattle Ranch. All the Cattle were
Black Angus. We passed farm after farm and seems
most grow corn. They probably grow other veggies
but I only know what corn looks like growing.Â

Joann is baking chicken and making macaroni salad.
Bill will grill hot dogs and hamburgers. For
dessert we will have lemon tarts.

Â
While Joann was putting the finishing touches to
our dinner she sent Bill and I out on the Patio to
capture a few rays of sunshine. When we came in
Bill said “that was niceâ€. His Mom sure did raise
him right.Â

Hope you all have had as pleasant and peaceful a
Fourth as I have.Â
