The highlight of today -- The Rays finally beat Seattle 7-0. I hope they continue this winning business.Â
That is highlight in the sports dept. but in the friends dept. I talked with two of my dear friends from back in Florida. I called Jean H. the Organist in my Church back there to tell her about the Pianist in my Church up here. I wanted to tell Jean that the Lady here had played "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" which was a favorite at our Church in Florida and then the very next Sunday played "The Old Rugged Cross" which was my Husband's favorite hymn. I wrote her a note to let her know how much it meant to me to hear her play those two hymns.Â
Then I had a call from my friend Barbara and we talked I know for at least an hour. We had a lot of catching up to do. She brought me up to date on all the activities at Church there. She also wanted to tell me how her Granddaughter made out with her Oral Surgery today. She did fine.Â
She has promised to come visit when she is up this way during the holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas that is.
No news from Daughter Rebecca or friend Jimmie today. Maybe tomorrow.Â
