This has been some day. Had to be at the Hospital at 9AM for a Pacer Check. When we got home I was eating my breakfast and Joann called to tell me to look out the Dining Room window. There were five Yearling getting a drink out of the Creek in the back yard. They then went through the yard eating leaves and blooms off what flowers are still blooming. I forgot to mention the temp this morning was 24 degrees. Joann came down with her camera and got some great pictures. She took the pictures through the windows on the storm door. Two of the Deer actually came up on the steps leading to my patio and posed for her.
As if that was not excitement enough for one day I had an e-mail from a friend that we used to go to Lakeview Church with.
He was in the area and would be coming by for a visit. We were thrilled but when he asked for directions I told him to find Walmart downtown and Joann would come and lead him up to our place. Walmart is a landmark for our visitors because no one has ever been able to find us without help. Which might verify the fact that we are deep in the forest.
Our guest was in charge of Operation Attack at Lakeview Church and I was the Tuesday Volunteer taking calls from different Organizations requesting help for their Clients.
Every Tuesday morning he would call to make sure I was ready to take calls. So this visit was like putting a face to a voice. Joann showed him around the back lot. I am sorry he missed seeing the Deer this morning. He promised to come back and his Wife, also our friend, will come with him. Thanks for taking the time to come by, John.
Love and prayers from here to there
